what to do in jurien bay
Jurien Bay is located 2.5 hours from Perth and 2 hours from Joondalup, on the Indian Ocean Drive.
It is only 20 minutes north of Cervantes - Home to the Lobster Shack, Jurien Bay is a top fishing spot and is
home to a large number of crayfishing boats. Jurien Bay Marina has a recreational boat ramp and fish cleaning
facilities for the keen angler.
Jurien as the locals call it offers fantastic swimming, coffee, great beaches, sky diving, surfing, boating
and much more. There is plenty to do in the Jurien Bay Marine Park. One of our favourite is to see the sea lions. Jurien is home to 21% of the Western Australian population of sea lions. They live and breed in the Marine Park. You can visit the sea lions in their own natural environment by joining a sea lion tour from Jurien Bay boat harbour.
If you need fishing info or gear you can visit Seasport Tackle or book a fishing charter. Or if jumping out of a plane is more your thing the award winning Skydive Jurien Bay has you covered..
Jurien has a number of places to eat. Great coffee is found down at the jetty in the coffee van. The Bay Bakery is very popular for all your usual bakery favourites. Murray Street Grill serves fantastic food, but make sure you book.
If you want to venture further afield you can visit the Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park, Cervantes, Leseur National Park, beautiful Sandy Cape, the Stockyard Gully Caves,
To know what is going on in town pick up a copy of Cray Tales produced by the Jurien Bay CRC. It will give you all the local news, as well as events and what's happening in Jurien. Like the monthly Markets by the Bay community markets.
The foreshore is ever changing and the new skate park, adventure playground, jetty and the best coffee van are
a must visit.
